Sonny Moore is a 1994 graduate of Rushville Consolidated High School.  In high school, Sonny was a three year letter winner and went on to catch at the collegiate level for the University of Indianapolis his freshman year.  Moore transferred to Franklin College, where he was the starting catcher from his sophomore through his senior year.  Moore started his coaching career at the collegiate level, under Lance Marshall with the Franklin College Grizzlies as the catching instructor.  Moore later coached under Jeff Mercer at Franklin Community High School.  Moore has also served as a catching instructor for The University of Kentucky, Kansas State University, and Oklahoma State Baseball summer showcase camps. Most recently, Moore has coached youth baseball in the Greenwood, Indiana area for the last 5 years.  He is a 4th grade teacher at Saints Francis & Clare of Assisi Catholic School.  He is married to his high school sweetheart, Jolinda, and has three children, Mallory, Joey, and Nora Rose.
